I found a grungy, beat up shelf at the thrift store. The shelf was in need of some repair but the size was right and it was only five dollars! I removed the ugly spindles, filled in the holes and dents, sanded it to prepare for the paint. Once painted white she was no longer a ugly duckling.
My antique bread boards and some vintage copper were added to take these pictures. Later, that same day everything came down and the shelf was decorated for Christmas.
Sorry about the dark pictures. It’s been gloomy and raining here for days.
Please check back on December 10 to see our home decorated for the Christmas Home Tour.
Thanks for dropping by.
