Fall Decor-Too Darn Hot!

I have loved seeing the gorgeous Fall decorations popping up all over the blog and I have been itching to drag out the pumpkins and my other fall decor.  The only thing stopping me is that is it still so darn hot here!
Today I went up to the attic and started pulling things out of the boxes and thinking about how I would use them in a vignette.  In the mean time I thought I would show you one of my displays from last year.  Enjoy!

Thanks for dropping by and I hope to have my new Fall decor up in the next couple of weeks.

  1. That is a lovely Fall display. I'm debating how to put up my fall decorations as well, I want to start, but feel like I need to at least get thru Labor Day weekend. So I guess it's time now! Love how you put those little pumpkins on the candlesticks, so simple yet sweet. Gives me a perfect reason to pick up a couple of the ones I saw at the dollar store.

  2. It is just stunning. I love the idea of the pumpkins on the candlesticks. I hope you don't mind if I borrow this. Your urn with the leaves and the acorns and gords is lovely. So pretty. Thanks so much for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty

  3. Hi Sherry,
It's going to be hard outdoing last years since it was so beautiful. However, knowing you and your creative talents, you'll do something gorgeous that I will be envious.

  5. Sherry, I really want a wrapped wine jug like yours but I haven't been able to find one locally. Your urn filled with fall finery is just gorgeous. I think we are both showing similar leaf bowls today. 🙂

  6. Ackk, Sherry, my comment FROZE so I hope you don't get this twice!
Tablesettings for Fall are lovely! Like Debra, I love the Wine Jugs! Very fun!

I'll trade you the HEAT for our Rain! This is usually our most gorgeous time of year here in Washington State,,,,,,,,Yeah, well, will get back to you on that!

    Hugs and love,

  7. Hi Sherry! Oh, I love seeing your fallness, even from last year! It's too hot here too but I had better get busy with getting my home ready! 🙂
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia 😉

  8. Hi Sherry,

Well your appetizer of fall decor is simply beautiful! Can't wait to see what else you will share! I love the pumpkins on the candlesticks and the fall leaves tucked her and there on your table. Gorgeous tablescape! Happy Week!

  9. This is just lovely and gets me inspired! I can't even bring myself to go into the shed attic…it is still so hot! Soon enough! Have a great week! Christie at Three Pixie Lane

  10. I agree with you! Last year I was fully fall decorated by mid August, this year it's still SO DARN HOT, I haven't pulled a thing out to decorate with! It just doesn't feel like fall, maybe if I start decorating the weather will catch on and finally cool off for us!

  11. Beautiful! Can't wait to see what you come up with for this year!! It is waaaay too hot to even think about fall decor here. I imagine I won't be putting anything out until closer to October?!?!?! I'm so ready for fall :o)

  12. Hi Sherry! Your fall decor is perfect…I'd be bringing it back this year too:)
I scrolled down to your french document modge podge project…WOW, so awesome! you've inspired me to play hooky today! lol:)

  13. How will you ever top your tabletop this year? Oh wait, you are Sherry, decorator extrodenair, so of course you'll come up with something even more gorgeous!

It is much cooler here and I am hoping for an Indian summer. I am a warm weather kind of gal!

Now, get those boxes unpacked and show us how to decorate for fall!

  14. Eveything looks so pretty and fall~ish, Sherry! I love the pumpkins on the candle sticks. I hope the markets have more white pumpkins this year…everywhere I went last year they were sold out. They are so neat looking.

I am slowly picking up fall things here and there and then I will do it all at once. After lots of heat we are finally getting some cool weather here in the Midwest…but that could change in a minute!! ;-D

    Happy TT Tuesday

  15. It really is hard to get into the spirit of fall when the temps are still so hot. It's finally cooling off here, thank goodness. Love your displays! So pretty. 🙂

  16. Cooler weather is definitely an asset when it comes to fall decorating. Those attics get awfully hot.
I can't imagine how you would improve upon last years decor. It looks beautiful!

  17. Love the name of your blog…I could never be confused with a minimalist either! I like the contrast of the mini pumpkins on the white stoneware candlesticks. I may have to give that a try on one of my tablescapes. I'm a neophyte to blog land, so I'm happy to find the reprise of your design. Thank you for stopping by my post. Come back for another visit any time. Cherry Kay

  18. Absolutely gorgeous. It has started to cool down here 86, and up the canyons the leaves are beginning to turn. I love what you did. If you can believe it, I have Halloween out already, not because I wanted to, but I found some great things and it was easier to decorate than to find a place for them! One of the neighborhood teenagers was giving me a hard time about it!

  19. Oh it will be great to see what you do this year Sherry. I'm not sure how you are going to out do last years decor though. It is just perfection!
I can't even think about Fall decor, with everything still so green here around me. But very soon, I think things will be changing.
Thank you Sherry for your lovely message to me. It meant the world.
    hugs

  20. Oh Boy! I can't wait to see your new fall tablesetting if this your old one. You will certainly have alot to live up too, this is just gorgeous! I love it! The pumpkins on the candlesticks, those beautiful plates and of course the demijohns…too fabulous! So glad you shared this again!

  21. Go for it girl! I have been knee deep in fall for at least a week now…yes, I love to redecorate for all seasons. Can't wait to see what you have going on.
    Hugs,
    Olivia

  22. Beautiful arrangements and they look so fall like.
Hope your weather cools enough to get you in the mood!!! It's been very cool here in San Diego all summer and I think we actually missed summer this year.

  23. Beautiful Sherry! I love the rattan/wicker covered bottles and the number tags. So cute!
The whole table is gorgeous…looks like it came out of Pottery Barn!
I am anxious to get my Fall decor out too…it's still so muggy and warm here.

    Have a great weekend,

    Nancy

  24. Sherry, this is so pretty! It is too hot here too but I am afraid that I am going to have to dig things out after seeing all these pretty fall tables. I just love your centerpiece.

  25. Sherry!! Thanks so much for linking up to Vignette Fridays this week! I love your vignette. So beautiful and original – and most importantly: INSPIRATIONAL! I love the whole thing, but especially that wicker wrapped demi john bottle.. GORGEOUS! 🙂 All the best, Artie

  26. Hi Sherry,

That was definitely a fall display that merits a second look! I'm so glad you shared it and glad I stopped by. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Keep cool!

  27. Hi Sherry…

I've just been doing a little catching up at your place and had to leave you a note about this gorgeous autumn table you created! It's lovely, my friend! I love the big frenchy bowl filled with all the autumn pretties that you used for the centerpiece…gorgeous! Ohhh…I can't wait to see your autumn decor this year! I certainly do understand about doing autumn decor while it's so hot. When I lived in south Texas…I never even decorated for autumn. We went from summer right into winter…no in between season! That's one of the things that I love best about living in Colorado…our autumns are beautiful! Thank you for sharing your beautiful table with us…this was truly a treat, my friend!

    Warmest autumn wishes,
    Chari @Happy To Design
