Fall In Virginia

Last weekend we took two of our grandchildren to a Fall Festival.  The highlight of the event was the hay ride to the 100 acre pumpkin patch where you could choose your own pumpkins.

The grand kids each chose an orange pumpkin to take home with them.  I got a cream colored pumpkin and and a gray one.  Even the doll  Dora got a tiny pumpkin of her very own. We all had a good time at the “Fall” Festival except it was 98 degrees!!

I came home and put together my Fall decor in the morning room using the pumpkins we purchased.  They are so perfect that they don’t even look real.  Vintage metal farm baskets hold flowers and tiny pumpkins. Two small Johnson Bros. platters and plates add to the Fall look.  A rattan basket holds my collection of antique antler handled serving knives and forks.

Please check back in a couple of days for a Fall Giveaway!  Thank you so much for visiting.

  1. Loving that large cream pumpkin and the grey one as well! We were in Charlottesville for the weekend also in search of the perfect pumpkins. Found three enormous orange ones for the girls, still in search of my cream ones. Yours are fabulous!

  2. Oh my goodness, this is just stunning. Love the basket with all the knives and the cutting board, and the basket is gorgeous with the pretty fall flowers. Your pumpkins do look perfect. I've never seen a gray one. Stunning table. I love the transferware and the little flower pots are just so cute. Thanks so much for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty

  3. That is so beautiful as always! Wouldn't expect anything less! I know I have seen you do tablescapes on this table before but I don't think I have seen more of your morning room so I am going to do some hunting through your previous posts because it looks gorgeous!

  4. Lovely tablescape! I can't wait to head to the pumpkin farm this weekend. I must say, I've never seen a gray pumpkin though…sounds right up my alley. Thank you so much for your sweets words on my Top 10 projects. I'm a little behind in responding to comments after taking a break for the twin's party but wanted to be sure to thank you, Sherry.

    freckled hugs,

  5. Such pretty decorations you have. The little clay pots remind me that years ago I used them for my fall and Thanksgiving table. I had mums in them tied with raffiea ribbons. Must get them out to use this year. Thanks for the reminder.

  6. You've chosen the perfect elements for your beautiful autumn vignette…one of the more original approaches that I've seen…extremely well done! Thank you for sharing your lovely design. Cherry Kay

  7. Your table is perfect. I love how you used the wire baskets, your topiary in the urn, the striped fabric runner… I'd love to stop over and have lunch.
