Home Tour Part 1

Sunday I was lucky enough to tour the beautiful home of  Bill and Les Stinson.  Their home was recently featured in R.Home magazine and I fell in love with it instantly.  You can read the article Here.  Bill is the owner of W.L Stinson Custom Homes and Les is the owner of the design firm Hunt and Gather.  What a great team they made in custom building and designing this stunning home.

You find the home down a  mile long driveway and nestled in the woods with a backdrop of the James River.

The first room you see upon entering the home is the dining room. Don’t you just love the benches?
French cabinet with chicken wire inserted in the doors.
Eat in kitchen. Love the mix of chairs and fabrics.
Have you ever seen a more gorgeous pantry?
Sitting room off kitchen
Beamed ceiling in sitting room with my favorite wine barrel chandelier.

Les and Bill have decorated their home with wonderful architectural antiques. When interviewed for R.Home Les said “Bill would love a La-Z- Boy in every room! ” There is one in his upstairs office as well as a flat screen TV. Bill jokes “why can’t we have furniture like everyone else?”.

Thanks for visiting  and please check back tomorrow for part 2 of the tour of this fantastic home.

I am linking up to The Inspired Room and Faded Charm Cottage.

  1. Beautiful, beautiful! I love mixing chairs too. I have two kinds of chairs at my dining room table. I love those benches they have too. Interesting and pretty color combinations. That ceiling is spectacular with the beams. Love it. Thanks for sharing!

  2. What a lovely home. I like the decor–something different there. I read your last post and am wondering if I may come with you to your garage sales? I never find anything like your treasures!

  5. Beautiful home. The dinningroom is the room I love and I was not expecting it from the look of the outside. My favorite are the benches.
