More Coastal Decor

There is a new addition to our coastal décor.   I found this faux clam shell at
a thrift store for $8.00.  The price was excellent but the gray and gold color
was all wrong.  Of course, I forgot to take a picture before it was painted white.
Steve bought me a Canon Rebel for Christmas and until a few days ago I had only
used it set on “auto”.    I am taking a six week photography class and just finished
the 2nd class.  I still have a lot to learn but at least my camera settings don’t scare
me any more.
The photo of the boat was taken by Steve in the Greek Islands and Easy Canvas Prints
put it on canvas for us.  I am in love with the colors in the canvas.
I recently showed you the large oil painting I received from Photos To Canvas.  This
beautiful beach abstract will be perfect over our mantle.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

  1. Sherry, painting the clam shell was a good idea. I had several conch shells that were gray and I donated them to the GW. I should have painted them! Love the colors in the painting!

  2. What a pretty and colorful vignette you have made! The canvas with the boat picture is wonderful and the shell you found, with its new paint job, is so pretty.

  3. Looks very familiar, Sherry!;) Love the vibrant blue of the Greek islands. Lucky you to be taking a photography course!

  4. How wonderful to be taking a photography class, I would love to do that! I never seem to catch up with everything I want to do and learn! I look forward to watching your progress, love your new beach decor,

  5. What cheery and delightful colors you've chosen for your new home and these accessories are perfect. Having your photos put on canvas for one-of-a-kind art is spectacular!

Since you mentioned the painting that will go over your mantle, does that mean y'all have bought your new home or that a mantle is one requirement for your new home?

Hope your dad is doing well.

    Hugs!
