Our Kitchen Tour – very large kitchen with lots of cabinet space

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a great day.

I know you have seen snippets of my kitchen before but today I thought I would give you the full tour.  I’ve been putting off posting pictures of the kitchen because I had hoped to have some changes made first.  My first project was going to be adding trim, corbels and painting the island a soft cream with glaze. Beams were to be added to the morning room ceiling. I would like to move the microwave to the island,  have a custom hood made and change the light fixtures.  My plans keep getting delayed so we will just call these pictures before and the after will come along eventually.

I am lucky to have a very large kitchen with lots of cabinet space.  Actually fifty four cabinets and drawers! There is also a large walk-in pantry.   No one can believe that all these cabinets are full…especially my husband.   Take a look but you’ll have to use your imagination on the upcoming changes. Beware, there are a lot of pictures.

This is the main cooking area

Our home has a very open concept. This wall of cabinets separate the kitchen and family

The two doors lead to the pantry and laundry room.

The morning room is separated from the kitchen by a bar.

Thanks for visiting and I would love to hear any suggestions and comments on the changes I propose.  Honestly, what do you think?

  5. I so enjoyed your kitchen tour. Although you have terrific plans it is very pretty in its current state. You must enjoy cooking and baking in such a beautiful and light filled space.

  6. Wow Sherry, You silly girl, your kitchen is beautiful just the way it is, not that I don't understand some changes, but this kitchen should be showed off. I'm sure with your ideas it is going to be wonderful too. My gosh, the cupboard space is great, every girls dream to have more, and to have them all filled… that is so funny Sherry. I would love to have all that space to cook and DANCE in with the way the flow is in your home. Lovely place you have and so nicely decorated.

Thanks So much for dropping by and believe it or not I was just thinking about you too.

Take Care and enjoy that marvelous Kitchen of yours!!

  7. I was distracted by your beautiful dining table and chairs, Sherry! : ) Your ideas sound wonderful. You do have a large kitchen, and every cabinet full, you say? I don't have quite as many, and I know that there are a few of mine that are just filled with "stuff" that really doesn't need to be there. Maybe this Fall/Winter I'll reorganize, but nothing too crazy, since we are all used to what is in what cabinet.

  8. Your kichen is a dream and I loved every minute of it! You have fabulous furnituree and I love all the large planters around. I looked at it several times and still wanted more! Thanks for the tour!

Your kitchen is so beautiful and spacious! I love all of those cabinets and the center island. I'd really like to have something this big. The changes you are going to make will be great, but I do like it right now! Fabulous! 🙂

  14. Your kitchen is beautiful, and it's very refreshing to see how much you embrace color and warmth. I'm getting a little tired of all the white, white, and more white everywhere these days. I think the changes you plan to make will be wonderful!

  16. I love your kitchen. It's filled with so many of my favorite things. For starters I spyed the wicker dome you painted grey. I love, love olive jars and demi-johns. Your dining table looks gorgeous. Styled so pretty with all the pumpkins and I love the napkins in the pots. I'm all about those details. If you get a chance stop by and see my kitchen. I'm pretty excited to have been features in At Home in Arkansas this month. I've been pretty covered up but will get with you the first of next week on the giveaway. Have a great weekend. Mona

  19. Hi Sherry,
Your kitchen is just gorgeous!! It is elegant, inviting and beautiful! The warm color of your cupboards, the paint color with the accents of black- love it! The changes you would like to make will just make it even better- but it is beautiful the way it is too! Thank you so much for joining Feathered Nest Friday and sharing your beautiful kitchen! 🙂

  20. Oh Sherry this is just beautiful my friend…the only thing I can see missing here is me ha ha!! I would love to have all that counter space and fill it with all my antiques ha ha!! Your one lucky duck girl…Hope you have a great weekend my friend…Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

  21. Love everything you have done so far and my do you have a wonderfully large canvas to work with! All of your future projects sound fabulous…I too would like to add beams to the ceilings of my Great Room~ combo kitchen, breakfast room, family room. One of my nieghbors did it and it looks amazing. You go first…I will sit back and take notes. When I remodled my kitchen I also removed my very prominent microwave that was in a similar position to yours. I just got a stand alone version and relocated it to the walk-in pantry. I had the space that it left behind turned into a wonderful cookbook and display shelf. It's all gorgeous the way it is, but all of the fine tuning you have planned will take it over the top!

  24. Holy smokes what a home & kitchen! I am sorry I am so busy lately to stop by. I would love to send you a gift of one of our French bottles for your collection; you must email me andrea at frenchbasketeer.com pls email me there and I will comment further or let me know where to phone you. xxoo Andrea

  25. I'm so jealous…your kitchen is amazing! I would not know what to do with all of that cupboard space, but it would sure be fun trying to fill it all up! Thanks for sharing your space.

  26. You have a fabulous kitchen and eating space…I adore the light fixture over your table, it was the one I wanted for our house but was much too big for our space…This helped me appreciate just how large your area really is.

I am not sure about the beams in that area, it could make it super busy looking and take away from the over all aesthetic…BUT I could be wrong too lol…Maybe you could play with your photos and photoshop in the beams to see how it will look.

I do have a tsk' tsk' for you though and I probably only noticed because for 3 yrs I did virtual tours for the real estate market…you left your half-bath door open and I can see your toilet…the good news is, I love how your walls in there complement the rest of your home hehe.

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing space with us, I hope one day my kitchen will grow up to be just like yours.

    Blessings Kelsie
