Painted Frenchy Chairs

Hi everyone.
There is so much going on around here….arranging a move is hard work.  I did want to show you the finished chairs before they are wraped for the move.
Here they are in Dad’s house.  Next time you see the chairs they will be in our new kitchen with a banquette.

Do you remember what they looked like before?
The chairs had a very slick, faux painted finish from the factory
Now painted white with a DIY dark wax applied.
I’ll be back to share how to make the wax yourself.
I am in love with the blue and white buffalo check and the small
stripe on the back.
OOPS….I forget to get all the blue tape off before taking the picture.
Above are my most recent purchases from the flea market.  I love anything blue and white and these were a steal at $5.00 for BOTH!
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Sherry

  1. $5 shut the door!! I love the chairs and that blue is becoming my new love! I am thinking about incorporating it into my oh toooo pink house! I Can't wait to see pictures of the new house and all of your decorating, how fun and exciting!

  2. The chairs look wonderful and I really like the blue and white checked material – great job.
It's such a job to move – I dread the day when I have to leave my home for a 1 bedroom apartment – lots of things will be sold. As we get older it's to hard to maintain a home that is to big.
    Have a great weekend.
