Working On the Courtyard & Giveaway

Our new conversation set arrived on Friday and we have been painting the outdoor dining set and moving things around in the courtyard.  There is a 6×8′ covered area when you first walk through the door into the courtyard.  I’ve been searching for an outdoor rug and an entrance table for that area.  A concrete console height table would be my first choice, but wood or iron are also an option.
These are my inspiration pictures…

Do you remember the canvas I recently received from  Easy Canvas Prints using a photograph Steve took
in Mykonos?    I covered the canvas with three coats of  outdoor Mod Podge and it is now hanging in the courtyard.  The blue in the photograph is the color of the new cushions and I love having art where we can enjoy it outside.
I have the best sponsors!

Easy Canvas Prints is one of those.  They are offering one of my readers a 16×20 canvas using
a photograph or art of their choice.
To enter the giveaway just comment below telling me what you may want printed on your canvas.
The winner will be chosen randomly on 8/11/14.
Thanks for entering and best of luck!
I’ll be back shortly with pictures of the new additions to the courtyard.

  1. Wow-I'd love seeing one of the shots from our Yosemite trip on a canvas. Count me in for this great give-away! Thanks. 🙂

  2. I think if I won, I would have to go on a photo shoot with my teenage daughter. We haven't gone on one in a while and this would provide a little motivation.

  3. I have a picture of the Eiffel Tower I took that would look great on a canvas. Thanks for the giveaway. Jo @ Let's Face the Music

  4. I love your canvas artwork. I would LOVE a canvas with a wonderful picture of me and my husband that we took in Wyoming. We have been married for 33 years and have done SO many DIY projects over the years. This picture just reminds me of how important it is to work together and PLAY together and love each other well!!

  5. This is the first time I've seen concrete used for shelves and I love that look for a big home or outside entertainment area. It is very dramatic. I wrote you before about how much I admired the photograph Steve took and I'd would love to have one of my photographs of Paris displayed in that format. I didn't know there is an outdoor Modge Podge so I learned a lot from this post. Thank you!

  6. Can't wait to see what you put in your entrance courtyard! I would also love to do something but have to keep in mind that mine gets covered in dust daily and so have to limit the frew-frews but want the "look going up the wall".

  7. I would choose a photo I took of a striking vignette at the entrance to the Sky Bar on top of the Prague Hilton. Of course we have many wonderful shots from our trip, but this one just looks like it should be a still life on canvas!

  8. I love your beautiful picture outside! That would be great to win. I might like to have a family portrait done in black and white or of just my 2 boys. I've always liked pictures like that.

  9. Thanks for introducing me to Easy Canvas Prints! I would love to give my parents a canvas print of their grandkids at their cabin on the lake. I would also love to get my husband a print of the old family farmstead on Prince Edward Island….. so many choices!

  10. I have a picture of my son with my parents at his welcome home party when he returned from deployment while in the Marine Corps. My mother is gone now and this picture reminds me of how proud and happy they are of my son. It makes me smile through tears each time I look at it!

  11. I would do a picture of our pups ~ they bring SO much joy to our lives. Thanks much for a chance at your wonderful giveaway!

  12. This sounds so predictable but I just took a picture of the most beautiful rainbow that would be great on a canvas. It would allow me to bring a little of the outside into my little urban condo. I also have some wonderful pictures from a trip to Greece the year before last. So hard to decide, but thank you for the chance to win. (pmmcclane@msn.com)

  13. What would I have printed? The view from our house on the lake that we are moving away from in two weeks time.

I'll look forward to pics of your courtyard!

    Blessings,
    Patti

  14. Appreciate the chance to win your giveaway. I would love to have a picture of my 3 precious Yorkies memorialized on the canvas.

  15. I'm another who would probably choose a photo of our sons when they were small but there are some scenic pictures that could be contenders, too.

Thank you and East Canvas Prints for the chance to win this delightful give-away!

Hope you soon find the perfect table for your courtyard entry.

    Hugs!

  17. I'd love to have a picture on canvas of my mother I have a great picture of her taken on her last Mother's Day.
I am loving your new house. That is a great picture that your husband took and a great idea to place it outside. I didn't know that they made an outdoor midge podge. I want to hang something outside now!

  18. Thanks for the giveaway Sherry. Think I would have a family pic of the four of us made for our home or maybe my favorite pic of the hubs and myself at our daughters wedding. Like how you are using yours out in the courtyard.

    Blessings,
    Linda

  19. I would let my son or daughter choose the picture. They have both recently moved into their own first apartments and would love some personal art. Thanks for sharing such a generous giveaway.
